About Us

The greater Noosa region is a uniquely rich area for broadcast media with all its inbound tourism, residents, local venues, products, and services. Until now radio offerings have either been those that bleed in from other coastal centres or the one local volunteer community radio station, naturally constrained by not-for-profit operations.

Noosa.Radio is an exciting new initiative bringing an overdue fresh approach to an alternative Noosa-based radio station, harnessing the growing power of digital streaming radio technology. As the first and only commercial broadcaster based in town it will deliver a more vibrant content format that is much more flexible and in sync with ‘brand Noosa’ and better engaged to promote the many potential partners invested in the lifestyle on offer here. This will include local NFP community groups and updates on local events and news.

​Noosa.Radio will be driven by a group of local, business-experienced, savvy broadcasters and a well- resourced support team with a passion for quality radio, making it fun and delivering the kind of home station Noosa and its residents finally deserve. With support from Visit Noosa and Noosa Council, the station will become a firm fixture in the local media landscape.

Meet the Boss (Betty the Kombi)

Meet Betty, our iconic 1963 yellow VW Kombi. Named after a beloved local who sold beachside burgers for 50 cents, Betty is more than a van—she's our mobile ambassador. Cruising Noosa, spreading radio love, and serving as our on-the-go green room for outdoor broadcasts.
